10th birthday raffle

We are so excited to announce the amazing raffle prizes for our 10th Birthday Fundraiser Raffle being drawn at our party next week, 17th May. It’s an incredible collection of e17 small businesses, all collaborating to support 2 local food banks, @pl84u_alsuffa and @eatorheat, and we hope that you’ll join us by entering the raffle.

There are so many people suffering in the world at the moment, it’s heartbreaking reading the news, and we often support charities and fundraisers further afield, however this time, we have chosen to support people locally. I think community will become increasingly important as the world becomes more terrifying, and so much of what is happening in the world is completely out of our control. The only things we can really have any influence over are our relationships, our connections, and how we relate to our own communities.

Here at East of Eden, we want to help everyone find joy in moving their bodies regardless of size, shape, age, fitness level, race, ethnicity, sexuality or gender. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive and welcoming movement community for all. However we know that cost is a huge barrier, so we have our lower cost community pricing, and £5/free events in fellowship square over the summer, plus free events in the cafe like the death and grief cafes and book club. We always love to hear from you on how we can support this community better.

For now, I just want to say that we appreciate every single one of you who supports East of Eden, and we hope you’ll buy a raffle ticket, help us raise lots of money, and come down for free classes, magic and fun, and the fact we’ve survived 10 bloody years on Saturday May 17th.
