FOUR IN-PERSON WEEKENDS

SMALL COHORT OF 10

Train properly. Teach like yourself.

East of Eden Academy develops thoughtful, confident teachers who understand more than the exercises.

You will learn the foundation Reformer Pilates repertoire, but also how to observe movement, adapt for different bodies, communicate clearly and make good decisions while you teach.

The course gives you time to practise, ask questions, receive feedback and find a way of teaching that feels like your own.

Could this be your next step?

You might already work in Pilates, fitness, movement or rehabilitation. Or perhaps Reformer Pilates has become an important part of your own life and you have started wondering whether you could teach it.

You do not need an existing Pilates, Mat Pilates or fitness qualification to apply.

YOU DO NEED:

•  At least 40 hours of group or private Reformer Pilates practice

•  A genuine interest in how people move

•  The time to complete the training and independent practice

•  A willingness to learn, practise and receive feedback

What you’ll learn

Knowing what movement comes next is not enough. A good teacher also knows how to read the person in front of them, explain something differently when it is not landing, and decide when to progress, adapt or keep things simple.

Throughout the course, you will learn how to:

•  Teach Beginner and Open Level Reformer Pilates classes

•  Plan and sequence group classes and one-to-one sessions

•  Perform and teach the foundation Reformer repertoire

•  Cue movement clearly and effectively

•  Observe alignment and movement patterns

•  Progress or modify exercises for different levels

•  Adapt sessions for different bodies, injuries and special populations

•  Use props to support, challenge or develop an exercise

•  Teach with confidence while still sounding like yourself

On successful completion, you will receive an NCFE-endorsed East of Eden Academy Foundation Reformer Pilates Teacher Training qualification.

More than a list of exercises
